funjumper101 15 #1 April 19, 2011 I am really impressed with the blithering ignorance of the folks in Iowa. How did they become so unbelieveably IGNORANT? The level of igorance and the willful denial of the FACTS are a testament to the disinformation campaign waged by the corporate owned right wing media. It would be humorous, if these useless racist assholes didn't actually vote in elections. How come they don't go after McCain, who actually WAS NOT born in the USA? Racist motherfuckers!!! Begin quoted text>>> Donald Trump’s birther crusade could be a boon in Iowa, and “Romneycare” could dog the former Massachusetts governor in the first-in-the-nation caucus, a new poll shows. A whopping 48 percent of Iowa Republicans said they don’t believe that Obama was born in the United States, according to the automated survey by Democratic firm Public Policy Polling out Tuesday. Another 26 percent said they weren’t sure whether or not the president was born in America as the Constitution requires to be eligible to serve in the nation’s highest office. Trump has driven the “birther” issue into the national spotlight as he flirts with an entry into the White House race, placing at the front of the pack in several national polls. In Iowa, Trump comes in third with 14 percent of the vote, just two points behind Mitt Romney with 16 percent. Mike Huckabee is currently leading in the state, with 27 percent support from Iowa Republicans. While Romney is polling second in the Hawkeye state, the poll also points to a potential pothole in the road for him: 63 percent of Iowa GOPers say supporting a state-level health insurance mandate is a disqualifier. Only 11 percent say they’d be willing to vote for someone who backed a state-level bill mandating that voters have health insurance, as Romney did in Massachusetts. If Huckabee and Trump opt out of the contest, Romney leads with 25 percent of the vote, leaving second place a statistical dead heat between Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin and Ron Paul. Tuesday’s poll of 419 Iowa Republicans was conducted April 15-17 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.8 percentage points. <<http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0411/53417.html This does explain a lot about the crap posted here, doesn't it? Also, in 2008 Congress signed off that he was a natural citizen. Quote If Huckabee and Trump opt out of the contest, Romney leads with 25 percent of the vote, leaving second place a statistical dead heat between Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin and Ron Paul. man, that's a pathetic cast of candidates. We could call the election now if that doesn't change.

CanuckInUSA 0 #4 April 19, 2011 I sure hope the GOP find someone other than Donald Trump to be their Presidential nominee. Trump is just too abrasive. Personally I still feel that Mitt Romney or Ron Paul would be much better choices. But Ron Paul makes too much sense so the GOP will never choose him and Romney has this Mormon religious thing hanging over his head which prevents the GOP Evangelicals from supporting him despite the fact the Romney has been a successful leader in business and in government (imagine that choosing a man who has been successful in both the private and public sectors). Maybe Huckabee will be the compromise candidate? Time will tell. Now as far as the title of this thread is concerned and the arguments "The Donald" has been presenting is concerned ... I don't know what the fuck a "Certificate of Live Birth" is. But "The Donald" is saying it is NOT a birth certificate and so far the only thing Obama has presented is a "Certificate of Live Birth" that was apparently issued a week or so after Obama's mother had him. This whole "Birther" issue can be put to rest if Obama would only produce an actual "Birth Certificate" or if this "Certificate of Live Birth" would only be recognized as a "Birth Certificate" (which apparently some say it is not). IMHO the GOP will be giving Obama a 2nd term gift if they run Palin or "The Donald" against Obama in 2012. But if the GOP can actually pull their heads out of their asses and come up with a better candidate, Obama will be a one term Prez. But does it all matter? Since according to the 2012 Dooms Day believers, we will all be dead one month after the 2012 US Presidential election anyway. ROFLMAO. He successfully implemented a socialist state health care system in Massachusetts. Which is great, but might lead to rage deflation in the GOP - and that's a problem for him. >This whole "Birther" issue can be put to rest if Obama would only produce an actual >"Birth Certificate" or if this "Certificate of Live Birth" would only be recognized as a >"Birth Certificate" (which apparently some say it is not). What FACTUAL reasons for the birther nonsense exist? Was Hawaii not a US state when Obama was born? Does Obama's team have the ability to travel back in time to put birth announcements in the Honolulu newspaper? Do idiots who do not understand what a birth certificate is, and what is a legal copy of same, really have that much credibility in the Republican party? I know that blithering ignorance is a family value for the Republicans, but how much proof is required for the birther nonsense to go away? Why don't "responsible" Republicans like yourself work to put a stop to the nonsense? You all think that "responsible" Muslims should put a stop to the extremist Muslims. Why don't you do the same in your ranks? Morals and ethics are very foreign concepts to Republican's these days. John Kyl just got a promotion in the Senate. Right after the revelation that his outright lies about Planned Parenthood were exposed, with a defense that they were not intended to be factual statements. How is spotlighting the facts about the Iowa Republican Partys utter stupidity, stupid? Explain. Leave us along? What does that mean? Canidate? What's that? No, he hasnt To me I just wonder what advantage he thinks he is getting by not producing it? Got any ideas? Remember, I dont care at this point There is a huge advantage of letting this go on. He can paint all of his opponents as dolts and crazies. I personally believe he was born in Hawaii but might not HAVE a long form birth certificate. I know this because I never had one till I got married at 38. For years I used my PA Birth Registration Notice. At 38, I was applying for a marriage license in Italy and was told by the Italian Consulate that what I believed was a birth certificate was not. Turns out my parents were given this Birth Registration Notice and never applied to the state for a “birth certificate.” Who knew it wasn’t one? It worked for 38 years. So I applied to the state of PA for a birth certificate and got one. Went to the consulate and was rejected again because I did not have the “Long Form” birth certificate. I applied again to PA and finally got my long form. It states I was born in 1969 but was issued in 2007. Maybe something similar happened to him. Now he doesn’t really have a long form because he never applied for it. Just imagine if he got one issued with a date on it from 2008?"The point is, I'm weird, but I never felt weird."
